SOO sick of the cityits

Got a receipt?

Yup

That airport has landing fees noted in Airnav and the FBO you named says no ramp fees if you spend a minimum. What's so hard to understand about getting a bill for landing?

They wait a month to ask for handouts, it's already funded by my tax dollar, it's BS

Your failure to understand the landing fee doesn't make them wrong as much as much as you. It's not like it was a secret. Name calling and tantrum throwing doesn't suit grown ups well. Get over it.

If they want to charge landing fees, don't take PUBLIC funding, always bothers me when I pay for roads or airports and then they charge me to use them.

It would be like you buying your plane, and the old owner still charging you $20hobbs a hour.

Yeah, but only if the old owner was the government. But don't Toll Roads in NE do the same thing?

I've been saying that about politicians for years, but it's still quite popular. ;)

when i was flying in there alot you had to be extra careful as there is/was a large fed presence as the long island fisdo and one of the ny tracons were/are on the field.and it was a fed tower. i almost got into a jam doing a approach and breaking out much lower than the minimums and was the first to get in that morning i had a radar altimeter and when the tower asked for a pirep i gave the number i was watching on it . i had a guy with me who realized my mess up and keyed his mike very fast correcting me by saying RIGHT AT MINIMUMS ,what i always say if ever asked again

a) Publish them in the airport facility directory

I think the point is that it's a backdoor charge. You don't know about it until after the fact. It's not published in the A/FD nor on the door of the FBO. You just magically receive an invoice in the mail.

I don't see how they should be able to collect a fee from anyone without there being some notice that a fee exists and how much that fee is.

A few people have alluded to this, but just for the record, the A/FD entry says:
Terminal use fees apply. Ldg fee for all acft exc mil and government.

To me, this makes it pretty clear that there is a separate terminal use fee and landing fee. Calling the airport or a bit of googling will get you the rest of the way. It could be easier to find the amount, but the existence of the fee is advertised in the one place pilots are theoretically obligated to look.
