I've lived and worked in Montana and Wyoming. Used D8s to push snow when the situation called for it. Best advise is stay home and enjoy a beverage or three when the weather goes to hell.

I am sure u know in midwest we take great pride in going to work before time especially when there is a blizzard and u have to shovel a feet of snow on the driveway to get ur car out. It's a manly thing to do.
