Here in rural Lewis County, WA............I can print out my own burn permit. It is strange to me that they allow big piles, but no burn barrels.

You seem to be assuming that everyone else feels the same as you about everything and knows exactly as much as you and nothing more. They don't feel the same you and some know much less and some know much more. Once you can understand and accept that, things like this become much easier to absorb and accept.

Sounds like a good time to start an “awareness campaign” about the plight of the unloved burn barrel.

They’re so adorable as they grow from trash cans to 55 gallons.

Maybe a nice nature documentary.
