There are so many fireworks going off, my airport is reporting IFR conditions!

We attended a private party last night, upscale homes on a man made lake. The fireworks were launched directly over our heads. Noisy and smoky with ash falling down on us. I finally left about half way through. My ears were ringing and I don't like breathing toxic fumes from colored incendiaries.

We were at a well attended party on a beautiful pond. Instead of fireworks the 'burners' in attendance set up a raft with a couple of large propane tanks and hand crafted burner fittings (think hot air balloon sans balloon). The whole thing was remote controlled and allowed people to pass around the remote to create DIY fire displays in step with the party's music.

One could feel the heat from each blast 100 yards aways but the party was even hotter. We stayed awhile
