It’s a miracle of modern medicine. After the procedure and resulting embellishments, would you want that goo to “dissolve?” And people complain about healthcare...

Even worse: I kept a spare set of those in my emergency/survival bag that sat in the plane for years and was checked yearly for perishables.

When they blew up from the heat, everything in the survival bag was evenly coated with schmoooo!

I had this once with my passanger actually wearing it... was a David Clark headset from the flight school..

I was in upstate NY.

I don't think you can buy it anymore. I'm back in San Diego and I left it in NY. I looked at $100 headsets from the usual places and don't see it.

Clean them up with some alcohol pads and put on a new set of earseals... Good stuff.
