A fabulous day(finally, in Maine) for flying. I got in two hours, all putzing around the coastal area; maintaining contact with NAS Brunswick, occasionally in and out of their air space.

Fort Popham, Popham Beach, Seguin Island, Five Islands, Southport Island, Boothbay Harbor, Sheepscot Bay; probably 75 - 100 new images in the can.

Upon refueling on the return to Wiscasset, topped-off with 12.9 gal. 6.45 gph seems pretty good, considering all the circling and altitude changes that were done. I generally flight plan at 9 gph and am wondering if the Power-flow Tuned Exhaust is accounting for the seemingly good change from the POH notation of 8 gph.

From Power Flows Website:
The Power Flow, when leaned correctly has been able to save up to 2.5 gallons per hour.
So I would say so.

The Navy had me at 2300 msl except when I requested/was authorized to vary between 1200 - 1500 msl for visuals, so I wasn't leaned. But it was a terrific day!

That's my little 20' I/O cuddy pointed at the "point"(somewhat center-right), near the little single mast sail boat.

The area is Five Islands, because that's how many there are at the bottom of this town(Georgetown)[which is, also, an island].

Great picture. I trust the hurricane brought in some nice, clean air in its wake - at least that's what seemed to always happen when I lived in NC.

Water level looks really low, there! Sounds like a hellofa day, Harley; really makes me miss flying in the scenery up there. Portland and Navy Brunswick were always amazing about letting folks have some fun in their neighborhood. Do you have any of the rest of your photos from the flight online, by any chance?

Yeah, it was close to low tide; but the mid-morning was the right time to fly re winds.
There are 101 images and I'm still post-processing them, a time-consuming affair.

Great picture, what a pretty place to fly.

I can't wait to see the rest of them!

I'm still "working" the images. Here's one: Seguin Island Lighthouse, commissioned by George Washington, operational by 1795; Maine's first lighthouse with a 1st Generation lens in its tower. ( I can't remember the name reference on the "1st Generation." )
