Don Kellner passed away recently at 85 years old. He was jumping up until a few months ago. Has record at 46355 jumps. Had taken more than 10000 people for their first jump.
He was remembered at corn roast he held annually this past Saturday at his home Double D sky ranch airport. Honored with 35 jumpers, multiple flybys, Airforce honor guard playing Taps with his wife jumping and scattering has ashes. Was a moving tribute to say the least.

I remember being wowed at air shows hearing of Black Knight jumpers having a thousand jumps. Then I got to know guys where I fly, like 10,000 jumps. Then THIS guy, over 45k and jumping past 80.

Bravo!!

I made exactly one. :)

I once commented to a group that was using a King Air that perhaps that was a plane for me to skydive out of. When they asked why that plane as opposed to the 172 they normally used I replied, "you might can get enough folks in there to get me out the door!"

Don sounds like an awesome guy and was no doubt excellent at what he did. It just ain't for me ... :fingerwag:
