Woot! A friend bought this toy airplane for me just 'cause.
It has a spring motor which you wind by taxiing backwards on the runway. After getting clearance, you release for takeoff and it motors along the runway. Its acceleration rocks it back onto its tail skid so it rotate to takeoff attitude as it scoots down the runway. The spring motor also rotates the three blade prop. Woot!
The cat does not like this.....
But my 3 year old grandson is going to love it. "Airplane" was his first word (although it sounded more like "Ayto") as he pointed to one up in the sky.
Well, what do you expect from a kid with two pilots for grandfathers? He doesn't stand a chance - he'll be a pilot!
edit: For reasons that I hope are obvious by now, this one will NOT take off from a treadmill!!!
