Almost perfect pet. No need to walk, nor feed, nor clean up after. Quiet, too.

Johnny. 14 yo golden. Doesn’t bark oddly. We call him Johnny straight legs as he always has to keep his front legs straight when laying down.

We have had Cruiser for 10 years now. He has cruised 60K miles with us in our RV. He is a great dog to travel with.
He goes with either my wife or I 99% of the time. I take him to work with me sometimes and he goes with me to the hangar 99% of the time. I am sure he has over 500 hrs flying time so far. He has flown many XC with me.

This is Frank (aka ruckus). He is a rescue that was picked up on the streets in Fresno with a big burn on his side. The humane society moved him to a shelter in San Jose that my wife volunteers at. The burn healed nicely and he has settled in to the family wonderfully. Don’t know how accurate these tests are but, we needed something to gamble about during Covid so we got him DNA tested. He came back primarily German Shepherd and Chihuahua with Rottweiler, Chow Chow and Pomeranian. So we paid to find out a street dog was a mutt (shocking!). He is only 40 pounds but his bark is big and loves wrestling with big dogs. He also likes bourbon ice (we didn’t give that to him on purpose), Sunday afternoons at local breweries, road trips, warm fires, and loves deep snow.

lol. What happens in Fresno, stays in Fresno. I’m sure there is some degree of error in the test, although we did pick one that didn’t require a picture.

I hear you and completely relate. I recently put down my best buddy Rico (yellow shorthair feline) of almost 16 years (basically spans my entire military career), a month ago. Vet was inconclusive in what the problem ultimately was, so I had to make certain ethics-riddled choices with what felt like very little concrete information. Hardest thing I've had to do emotionally in adult life so far, and I'm a father and have a neurologically-compromised spouse on life-sustaining medication mind you. I'm also reeling from textbook euthanasia guilt.
Such a fiery, but loyal little lion, fighter even in advanced age. What little I've seen of human loyalty, or human grace, in this blasted life greatly underwhelms me by comparison. I do count my blessings for having taken him in, and allowed him to be a staple and companion in all the milestones and inflections of my life for the prior 16 years, especially the lonelier ones. Small measure of peace in a friendship where little was asked, and yet much was given in return. I thus repeat my last words to him: I'll see you in Elysium old friend, please wait for me...

Our mastiff could care less, unless the brothers get to playing really rough. Ziva will walk over to them and just look, sometimes they stop, sometimes she will bark once, as if to say enough.
The cats want to rub all over her and like to clean her, she just looks at us with that “really, we needed these two.” All in all they get along great.

I picked up our dog as a puppy with the plane. I think she’d gladly go flying now, but she’s always excited & a shedding machine. I did take her to the airport today, let he sit in the back seat while I went for a flight.

Introducing the wolf behind "Wolf Pilot" Schultz is 13yo and loves squirrels, rabbits, and butt scratchies.
Here's ours pre-haircut and after haircut. I like flying rescue flights but I've never gotten into being a dog person. She's super loyal to my wife and then I'm just the fallback if she's not around. Aussiedoodle is the breed. She is the most social animal I've ever seen.

In November we lost our aging Rottweiler to cancer. I searched and searched for another Rottie puppy for my wife for Christmas. I found a litter that was born on Christmas Eve. She was so excited over the prospect of getting one of the pups when they were old enough to wean. Unfortunately the entire litter died. I started looking again and found a 12 week old male about 3.5 hour drive away. This past Monday we brought him home. We’ve only had him a week now but he has been doing great so far. Meet “Ruger”.
