Should I mention it on my medical application?

Hi everyone! Back in 2021 I suffered a car accident which I was not at fault. I hired an attorney and then did a MRI of my back. I had a bulging disc at the lower back that was causing a bit of pain, I went with a neurosurgeon and did some treatment including injections (no surgery). Also went with two chiros for some conservative treatment to make sure everything was good. I feel fine and can do all my normal activities with no issue including soccer and other sports. My first class medical examination will be at the beginning of next year, but I’m a bit worried of FAA making a problem out of this. Should I select “Yes” on “Other illness, disability, or surgery” Condition of the application? Should I list the neurosurgeon and the chiros at the bottom of the application? Should I be worried? I have around 250 hrs left to reach ATP minimums

Thank you!

"The applicant should list all visits in the last 3 years to a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, psychologist, clinical social worker, or substance abuse specialist for treatment, examination, or medical/mental evaluation."

Yes, you should list all the visits associated with that, as it was within the last three years. I have no clue if there will be issues with the injections and stuff, so I would suggest you get a consult with your AME before opening a live application for your first class to make sure that everything is in order and A-okay.

Should you list it? Only if you want to comply with the regulations that legally require you to list it. It shouldn't be a problem though if you're recovered and don't have any physical limitations. Gather all your records, get a current exam from the neurosurgeon and a letter noting full recovery with no limitations, and go to your AME for a consult before your official exam.

You already know the answer to your question ...

FWIW I had a micro discectomy for a herniated lumbar disc. Was a ZERO burger.
