Sentry set up question

Foreflight/Sentry issue: bought the mini for my son to use. I have an older stratux clunker that is wheezing along, and thought I'd try a new whizz bang model. I turn on, find in wifi, it hooks up, it shows up under devices on both the pad and phone. Took flying today in the Mighty Pacer. Good towers, good GPS. No traffic. Internet traffic fine. Turned off internet traffic, poof (which I expected, as they are based on different inputs) Sometimes marginal, usually good towers. Tried dash and mounted vertically on side bit of the windshield. Any ideas?

Sounds like your tablet has cellular and WIFI. If so, turn off your cellular and it should solve it. The device is only going to “consume” the data from the Sentry WiFi network if there is no other network that had superior data.

Good seeing you. Good rehearsal coupla days. We dragged when above forte in technical passages. Brass choir vs drum corps. Hard to make switch with past history.
