Those in the Chicago area may remember him from the Gary Controller Quiz show at various FSDO events. Too young.

SCOTT ALLAN EMBURY Valparaiso, IN Age 59, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, in Valparaiso, IN. He was born on September 1, 1948, in Oshkosh, WI. He was married to Chong Ron Kim, who survives of Valparaiso, IN. Scott is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Greg and Mary Laramy of Chesterton; 1 daughter; brothers, Todd and his wife Teresa Embury of Ramsey, MN, Gregg Laramy of Chicago, IL, and Ethan Laramy of Maple Grove, MN; sisters, Meg and her husband Terry Crase of Stowe, OH, Gena and Will Rondeau of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Sara and Jason Langhorn of South Bend, IN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Allan Embury, and brother, Bradley Embury. Scott was an area resident since 1991. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving as a Senior Master Sergeant and retired after 25 years of service. Scott's passion for life was obvious to anyone who met him. If he walked into a room of strangers they would soon know he was there. As Chief Controller of the Gary Airport, Scott left his mark by creating the "Airlines of the World Display." As an Aviation Safety Counselor for FSDO, pilots throughout the Midwest attended his aviation safety seminars. Most people probably encountered Scott with his beloved Airedale dogs, dressed in his Packer gear, as he volunteered at Indiana Dunes State Park, Dunes National Lakeshore, and Bailey Homestead.
