I'm thinking about going ahead and grabbing a room... anybody remember what the cancelation policy is?

I can offload some beer if I need to take one of youse. Departing Wisconsin around 1 pm or so. Mooney speed puts me at Chicago burbs at 1:02 pm. Mid-Illinois should be a few more minutes.

If I had looked a that thing that shall not be mentioned (Which I haven't) I would reckon that things are looking good out there.
Locally however, it seems questionable. Allegedly.
Hopefully hypothetically if that is what it currently indicates, a change occurs removing any concerns if one were to be concerned about a thing.
 
I was planning to fly someplace next Saturday (no destination in particular) and then noticed that this fly-in is on the same weekend. What the heck... I hope to meet some of you there next weekend.
 
OK, back from my trip to Indiana, was gone 12 nights and woke up to snow on the ground this morning, this crap needs to just go away!!!!!

Now to stock up Schnacks for RR.
 
Whelp... something just came up and I'm going to have to cancel my plans to attend the fly-in this weekend. I'm sorry to miss this opportunity to meet you all and swap yarns about life, flying, and what-not. I do hope someone can introduce @eman1200 to some proper KY bourbon (not the jelly) rather than that TN juice that he's been "snorting". Meanwhile, I'll watch this space in the future and make more intentional plans to see you all next year!
 
Looks good! And a whole squadron of MEATER thermometers to boot!

Will they all talk individually to the phone app? I’ve only got one, plus wired thermocouples connected to sending units, so on big cook days I have a few displays to keep track of.
 
The 4 probes connect to the Charger block via Bluetooth then the charger block is connected to home wifi. That sends the probe data to the app on my phone. Seems to be working great

Skyhawk made it home today... the lance sadly has not. It is very much my intention to make it. I'm concerned I may guilt myself into working. We'll see.

In other news, Teresa can't come (her dad has to stay an extra day after his knee replacement), so my plan is to camp at the airport unless someone wants to offer up their living room for a dude on an air mattress.
 
I had been thinking if the weather was decent I might try to stop by for a bit. The weather is looking good, but, my wife told me this week I'm going to the Billy Joel concert on Sat. night. She bought tickets three years ago. The concert was postponed 2X b/c of Covid. Maybe next time.
