Rod machado

I guess I'm the only one who finds him tedious, sophomoric, and, in general, a bore. I've never laughed an anything he's said or written. He's just not funny. He tries too hard.

I agree. I bought his private pilot book on a recomendation that it was a good book to read little by little. (a bathroom reader) I like the FAA manuals better. Too much cheese with the humor from Machado.

Gosh, a tough audience!
 
I find his humor wonderful, and enjoy his books, because they often deal with the practicalities of flying. Plus, he's really nice in person, too. He's another one whose spouse flies too. And, as was mentioned in the video clip, she's a former controller, on top of it.
 
Sitting in the computer room yesterday, listening to Rod on a headset and cracking up until Hubby complained and I had to unplug the headset so we could both listen and ROFL.
