RIP Roy Clark

One of the greatest guitar players ever. Amazing talent. RIP

This is turning into a bad week......

Grew up watching Hee Haw. It's weird how this stuff hits you.

I think he turned left at Oak Street.

RIP indeed. What an incredible performer.

Great banjo picker, all around great musician. He inspired me to wear overalls and tell dumb jokes. Long live Roy Clark!

The younger folks on this board probably don't remember him at all, and some of us older folks mostly remember him as one of the hosts of "Hee Haw", but musicians remember him as one of the most talented and versatile pickers who ever picked up a stringed instrument.

Plus, he really knew how to make music fun.

Two of the very best, together. Maybe there's a threesome up there now with Stevie Ray Vaughan?

Hee Haw always had the lookers in the background. Didn't notice it as much as a kid!

Did a real nice cover of "Yesterday, When I Was Young" - it's on YouTube. Aside from his instrument skills, he had a credible, engaging voice, and a charismatic stage prescence.

Shocked me to hear he passed, then I shaved and saw the older guy in the mirror.
