Touchdown! Greaser!
I need to do something, short of buying an air conditioner or a new plane, to reduce the heat in the cabin. I have been looking at Jet Shades and they look promising, but my windows, while still pretty good are beginning to show their age. It might be best to replace them.
Are there replacement windows (including windshield) that do a really good job of blocking heat and UV (to protect from skin cancer)? Can anyone provide a ballpark price to redo a V35 Bonanza?
edit: I have tried one of those "swamp coolers" but it was a failure. It stopped working three times and I sent it back for repair twice. It is not working now. It just doesn't power up and it is too much of a hassle anyway. We do mostly long trips and even when it works, it is only good for part of the first leg. The remaining 6, 7, 8 or more legs it just takes up space. Either that or it is a pain to try to run down ice and drain and refill it each stop. So I am not interested in other swamp type coolers.
