Ran across this on reddit. Didn’t know a 172 had this kind of game.

Never tried that in my 172, wow all the fun I missed.

I don't understand the "let's get these guys" attitude.

I have seen Gene Soucy do inside loops at less than 500 AGL. In a C-152. Safely.

If someone performs stupid pilot tricks over barren terrain in their own plane, so be it. My main issue is that he is taking a passenger along for the ride.

I’m not sure what “the lets get these guys” attitude is about. He looked low but not sure how low

But during that low altitude maneuvers the passenger did look uncomfortable.

But it wasn't "safely". It was with all due caution, which is not the same as safely.

Disagree, unless that person never sells that airplane to anyone else. How do you know if an untrained pilot has induced loads beyond the limits that may have damaged the airframe?

There is some moral hazard defying limitations placed on airplanes. I know not everyone sees it that way though. "It's my airplane, I can do what I want" attitude is alive and well.

Hopefully you are only purchasing new equipment.

During the takeoff roll, looks like the altimeter is indicating about 10MSL or so.

During the maneuvering, looks like about 200MSL and around 60-70 degrees angle of bank.

I don’t see anything unusual. The C172 has rolls and loops as approved maneuvers in the limitations section and his passenger is wearing a parachute. Nothing careless or reckless about it.

Mine only had spins allowed, so that's all I did.

Looks like some of the stupid things I did in a rental 150 when I was 17, though I never got quite that extreme, certainly not in a 172.

According to the NTSB, the plane was wrecked in a landing accident in 2014 when the seat slid back as Cessna seats tend to do.

But does it have an inverted oil supply?

Say what? No 172 is approved for loops or rolls. You can only do the commercial maneuvers and spins in the Utility category and it doesn't spin all that easily. In fact these don't really look like loops. He gets the nose up but it looks like he stalls/spins out of top.

Pretty sure this wasn't Gene Soucy.

The problem is when you perform maneuvers beyond the capabilities of the airplane, and then either sell the plane or someone else rents it and ends up pulling the wings off in a normal maneuver, like the Arrow on a checkride a couple years ago.

When I was learning to fly (at a college flight school so lots of young student pilots) I was told there had been a local air show featuring a couple of 150 Aerobats a few years before I started there. For some time afterwards, they were finding a lot of loose rivets in the school's standard 150s.
