Hopefully I'm not violating any terms of service. Today I got a call from the owner of Airtex Interiors, Dodd Stretch. He has a surplus 172 rear seat done in leather that he is willing to sell at a discount.
By way of background, 5 years ago I put in a new interior using Airtex and Dodd was a great help. I have no financial interest in this, other than putting this ad out there. He made this 172 rear split seat in Barley Leather accidentally: the owner has a 182 and this won't work. Normally priced at $2,452, he's asking $2,000. Personally my pilot buddies, I'd negotiate, sunk cost & all.
Here's a link to a pic of my own seat, which he says is identical. According to Dodd, this would work for @ '63 - 67 172s. PM me for information about the headrests. This is for the split-seat rear, before they went to the bench.
