It just keeps coming down. I thought Carolina was done with Debby but the rain will not stop ...

What is this word ''rain'' you speak so highly of.??

Considered by some to be a very dangerous substance known as dihydrogen monoxide that can cause corrosion, suffocation in humans & annimals, and when received in large amounts can incite panic. I have seen hurricanes hit Carolina from the East, hang out for a day or two then go back into the Atlantic, then turn around and come back to hit Carolina again.
And Florida gets all negative hurricane press.

It does wear you down after a while. Our late winter, early spring was just nonstop crappy weather, and recently starting early, storms wouldn't let up either.
This week has been much better. Hopefully y'all get a break soon. At least you don't need to water the lawn :D

Now if we could do something about the relentless ads on...well, everything. Jesus H. Christ!

It's that thing that makes it so here I don't know anyone that doesn't have a nice lawn, and I don't know anyone who has lawn sprinklers.

Oh, and that in the past X hundred years, I've not heard of a forest fire anywhere near this area - knock on wood - that has endangered a home.

On the minus side, I've heard that some kids in the area are completely unfamiliar with the concept of sunshine, except from watching TV.
