Just a note to mention that online ticket sales for Wings of Hope's raffle starts at 6:00 a.m. this coming Saturday. Prior raffles have sold out in less than 1 day, so set those alarm clocks, OK? ....and many, many thanks for your support of our ongoing medical airlift program! I want to thank the little people... and I guess the big ones too. Come to think of it, the "medium-sized" ones are OK too.

Hoping my ticket is the winner with Wings of Hope! Seems like a great non-profit. POA has a pretty good record of winners.
 
Posh... I got there an hour early (forgot they were in Central time) and didn't get back home until after it sold out.
 
Well if they sold out in 5 hours, when is the drawing going to be? I bought my tickets, I'm ready to win it. Never mind I found the answer.

end of may. not sure why we have to wait 2 months for the drawing, would be nice to have it sooner but that's when it's scheduled for. 5/26.
 
Correct on the event -- it's our annual volunteer luncheon, an event where all of Wings of Hope's functions (flight ops, nursing team, admin, purchasing, mechanics, accountants) get together. It also includes Wings of Hope alumni, major donors, patients (past and present), plus invitees/dignitaries from the fire and police depts, suppliers, and even airport neighbors. It's a very big deal and all raffle ticket holders are invited too. Could or should we hold it sooner? Well, right now we have an overhauled engine to install and once that's done we'll be doing some flight tests to take out all remaining squawks. We'll be delivering a very, very nice airplane.

I can;t believe i forgot to buy my tickets.. I blame the upper respiratory infection that has had me laid out for the last week.. yeah, that's it
 
it was like 10am CST, I was dropping..er using the bathroom when it hit me....No not that, but the fact I need to hurry up and get to the CPU! After some fussing I staggered to the CPU and bought 3 shinny tickets...winners I tell you! I got them just in the knick of time. Not sure what I'm going to do with 2 Cherokees but it will be fun, cant wait to see it!

Welllll I got a letter (thought it was from POA MC whew) from them and they refunded my entry fee due to Alabama considers raffles as gambling. Wrote them back and asked what about my money from last year, ya gonna refund that? Oh, also last year wasn't the winner from Alabama?

Not WoH's fault, friggin' Alabama goofy laws.

Yeah, I'm sure no money changes hands at the state capitol during Alabama - Auburn games.

Well our LuvGuv just resigned, so yeah, crooked as hell. But the Creek indian tribe operates 3 casinos in Alabama, you can bet on dogs at the BHM raceway, etc etc....

AND!!!!! Did you see???? They opened up a raffle site. 5 planes (totally stolen from @calberto) auctioned each month.
