Puzzle: How many times each day is the minute hand on top of the hour hand?

Always. The clock I am looking at is constructed with the hour hand closer to the face than the minute hand.

So, always, or once - for 24 hours.
 
I had an antique pocket watch where it was always. The damn things were stuck together.

If you are going that route it's actually 24

just after 1 am and pm (2)
...2:10ish am and pm (4)
...3:15ish am and pm (6)
...
...
...
10:50ish am and pm (20)
11:55ish am and pm (22)
midnight and noon (24)
 
remember the hour hand moves in concert with the minute hand, so at 11:55 it is damn near on the 12. Bu the time they cross it is 12:00 again.

True but if its one of the ones where the hands "jump " you'll get one at 11:59 and one again at 1200
