Yes, like he said, subscribe to Beech Awro club and ask on there. Some members might know the history. They can refer you to mechanics. And the “Mousehunt document” that shows what trouble-points to watch-for.
The landing gear doughnuts, and “black duct” are the top two things on that list.

Crazy that the black duct thing is still going on. I removed all of mine on my mouse in 2003.
