I read the review but didn't catch what makes it a potential killer; or even competitor.
(I didn't see a feature comparison, description of ground-breaking features, or mention of pricing)

I really like the idea that it has the microSD slot. That is one thing I wish the Nexus 7 had.

The 8.3 inch size.

The full size IPad is too big for the cockpit, the Mini's screen resolution is so small I needed my bifocals to use it.
The Nexus 7 is just a bit too small. I use it because the big IPad interferes with the yoke or blocks instruments.

The 8.3 may be the perfect size.

It does have a GPS, but no 4G LTE.

Not a killer in my opinion, but I'm curious with the form factor size. Depends on how much they want for the thing.

The new Nexus 7 accepts a thumb drive, if you need more storage.

With 32 gig, I've never come close to running out -- but it would be nice to be able to pop the card out of the GoPro into the Nexus and watch/edit the movies!

I'm not sure about anything bigger. I really like the 7" size. It fits in my pocket nicely, and is still big enough to easily see in the plane.

But if you buy me one, I'll try it out for y'all.
