I don't have all the specific details yet, but three younger girls (high school ages) were in a bad car accident in Alabama. One of them did not make it, and the other two are unable to get back to Michigan. Insurance will not pay for them to get home. Just want to get the ball rolling on whether anyone is available within the next couple days to a week to do a relay.

I've got this information 3rd/4th hand, so I don't know how mobile they are, or aren't, or where exactly in 'Bama, but wanted to see what we can do for help. I am expecting a call from the parent, and will update as I get the information.

I'd jump on this but the plane is down for condition inspection and may take another week at the speed I do the "owner-assisted" part (some upgrades concurrently being installed). PM me if you get no earlier flight commitments.

I'm limited to one open seat - and it's not easy to get in-and-out of.

Depending on the days, I might be able to help on the southen end.

As always, contact Angel Flight, Grace Flight, etc.

If I can help, let me know. I happen to be in NC.

But if they're not mobile in any way, I don't know that its necessarily safe for a GA flight....

While insurance polices are all different and things can change, I would not let the insurance company off the hook so quickly. I can say from personal experience that medical insurance can be made to cover transport costs.

I'll be back stateside on the 10th, keep me informed on the status. If I do it, it'll be the whole trip.
