I’m glad you didn’t because it was never about finances. It has always been about seeing past a man troubles when he is putting his best foot forward. This has always been about education and learning from those who have gone through what I’m trying. I get it it easier to say how a person is than to watch him grow. I almost cried seeing you didn’t put anything in my gofundme.
Not.....
The reality of this all is people are really struggling to become a most productive person through the hard stuff that they walked through. I needed to see a community and how to proceed. So with that said, thank you to those who have not believed but wants every aspect of progress. Thank you to those who can only see a process instead of a person who is willing to go the mile. We all have a price to pay for the dreams we strive for. I just have to start lower than others. But it’s a start.
Tyrease, I hope you don't take this in the wrong way, but you made two critical mistakes on this forum and the Internet in general.
1. You disclosed way too much personal information to thousands of strangers who knew nothing about you or your past.
2. You say that it has never been about finances/money, but you initially asked strangers to fund your "dream". Someone said that's the equivalent of standing on the corner with a sign and they're right. You put yourself out there and made yourself vulnerable to scrutiny. Then you continue to seek forgiveness from people who have no idea what your original sins even were, nor is it anyone's business. You make yourself look feeble and weak as a man!
Some say don't go into debt, I say don't get "buried" by excessive debt that you're unable to recover from. Sometimes you have to go into debt for things you desire.
But as I've said before, in my opinion, you have your priorities mixed up. You need a better plan. You have no home, and no stable income. These things need to be addressed first. Then you can pursue your dreams/desires. I would have loved to be a professional pilot (particularly military) but that just didn't work out for me. I went on to learn a skilled trade (electrician). Industrial electrician and for the past 18 years I've worked as a 'Systems Controller' with high-tension equipment. So, although I'm not making a living as a pro pilot, I'm fortunate to have found a way to finance my dream and at least become a Private pilot.
Last point is something you've mentioned about never being in a cockpit. How do you know you will like the experience of being in a small airplane? I flew flight simulators for sixteen years before taking my first flight lesson. I had no clue how bumpy it is in a small plane, due to thermals/turbulence! There's no way you can know that from a PC flight simulator/game. Turbulence was a real eye opener for me! Took me awhile to get comfortable enough to concentrate on the flight lesson and not so much the turbulence.
This is why Discovery Flights are a great way to "discover" if flying is something you like.
Stay strong,
We're all in your corner and wish you the best.
