Touchdown! Greaser!
I had very high hopes on this series, but for me, the jury is out.
In the opening scene, a female Canadian Major doctor is taking a pregnancy test in the head of a C-17 as it is about to do a combat descent into Kandahar. Seriously?
In the same scene, the C-17 finally lands in "Kandahar", with F-16s in the foreground. The problem is: the F-16s are white, with the paint scheme on the nose being identical to the USAF Thunderbirds, except in black vs. red and blue. Does anyone know if the Thunderbirds were doing double duty in Afghanistan? I 'll bet that they did this scene flying into Nellis AFB, and they liked those pretty red, white and blue airplanes on the ground, so they kept them in the scene, but photoshopped them into a stealth black and white cammo scheme. UFB.
In another scene the chief surgeon, a Canadian colonel, in the middle of surgery, grabs his sidearm, and shoots a snake on the floor of the operating room. Apparently, lead and gunpowder residue is sterile, as is the grip on his sidearm - which also is not a Beretta, by the way. Fail.
Leave it to ABC.
As I'm writing this I'm wondering why I would even bother watching another episode. Maybe I'll give it one more shot.
