What a shame... a very pretty Champ, there. Glad everybody was OK, though, including the 18-yr-old(!) dog.

Remember, everybody: don't "veer off course" while doing touch-and-gos, or you'll crash into a house!! :rolleyes2:

It never ceases to amaze me when someone hits a house like this. I live in New Jersey, the most densely populated state in the nation and looking down from up there I see so much open space that cannot understand why someone should hit a house unless they just gave up instead of continuing to fly the plane.

Oh.....Did anyone catch who the plane is registered to?
Howard, Howard and Fine Aircraft LLC. i.e. The Three Stooges!!
(if you don't understand that, you are probably too young. Get someone to explain it to you.) :D:D:D

If it turns out the pilots name was Shemp, Curly or Mo.... I am going to wet my pants. :rolleyes2::rolleyes2::goofy:

Well, to give the guy a little credit, Cessna St. is right next to the airport. Whatever happened, he might have been in the pattern at the time. Why he couldn't get it on or near the runway, I can't tell you, since the article only mentions that he "veered off course".

In the Portland Oregonian this morning the pilot told the officials at the scene that he stalled the airplane and didn't have room to recover. He was doing touch and goes.

Yup.. I was 99.999999999% sure that was the cause.

Wow, I've flown out of Aurora, OR a few years ago when I lived in Seattle area. That's where Vans Aircraft is located. Good thing this guy missed Vans Aircraft building and opted for the residential neighborhood instead!
