I run VMWare 2 and can confirm this to be true for Vista.VMWare works with Jeppesen Garmin update! When I switched from Parallels it would not work with the skybound software. I don't know now since it has had several updates. My Windoze XP starts in about 10 seconds or less! Very stable. YMMV
For anyone who's considering buying Parallels, it's a shellshocker on Newegg for today...I don't know the regular retail price, but just figured I'd give you guys a heads up.

I am responding to this post from a Windows Xp machine within VirtualBox.
Its free, its just as good as Parallels, and its free. The way this type of software should be.
Did I mention that its free?
It's not just as good. It's good...but not just as good. There are things you can do with parallels that you can't with virtualbox without hacks and workarounds.
It fits a lot of situations...but it's not the same software.
I've yet to find anything it can't do. What can't it do?
Oh, and btw, if you don't need "instant boot" capabilities, you could always just use Bootcamp too.
To the best of my knowledge it doesn't boot a native bootcamp partition as a virtual machine inside of the host without hacks.
I have never tried. You're probably right. Parallels does that? That's pretty freaking sweet.
