We're starting to do some research into getting the Trinnie painted and a couple of local places that have made the short list are
Prestige Aircraft Inc at KFSO (Franklin County Vermont)
and also
J&M Aviation in Middlebury, VT (6B0)

Anyone have any experience with either of these shops?
Anyone know any other local to New England shops we should talk to?
So far, we've also talked to Oxford and Aero Design Aircraft Service at Westfield, MA.

Curtis Aviation, Pittsfield, Maine painted 7872Golf in 1992(8 years before I bought the plane). The paint has held up very well, considering she lived outdoors until moving into a hangar in 2005. Pittsfield is only a short hop this side of Bangor International Airport.

Adam, I have I painted our mail box for Tamson in the spring and I have plenty of Krylon left over. I'd be happy to work on it.:wink2:

PM John Clough on the board he has a 201 and when He lived in Atlantic City NJ he flew it up to either NH or VT to have it done. He was very happy with the work.

I should add that it's a very pretty airplane to see in person.

The guys up at Oxford had a good rep when I flew out of PYM, but that was 7+ years ago.

Cheers,

-Andrew

Thanks for all the feedback.

I did a quick search of John's posts and see that he had his done at Keyson Airways in Nashua, NH.
Keyson is now Infinity, and they no longer do painting. :(

We're looking at a paint shop to repaint the Mooney somewhere in PA, I think it's at ZER. Very reasonable price and they do some great work from the aircraft we saw come back from there. I'll send you a PM when I know more details, we're supposed to fly out there sometime in the next few weeks to get a quote.

A real shame too because the work (both the paint and the interior) is just wonderful. The Keyson folks were a great bunch!

Oxford has a good rep.

Just get it done bro! That airplane deserves a decent paint job.
