Pacific Prowler at Doolittle reunion

I saw them when they gathered in Urbana beforehand. Way, way cool. Worth crashing my motorcycle on the way back (which still isn't fixed).

My first ride in the cockpit was a Mitchell at Kanehoe MCAS. Just me and the pilot for about :45 minutes. The USMC still had the B-25 in active service into the 1960s.

While he didn't talk about it much, my late F-I-L was the Capt of a -25 in WWII in anti-sub in the Carribean.

The B-25 is my favorite aircraft, even more than the F-4 Phantom or C-130 Herc.

In the 90s I arrived to KFAT Fresno just in time to mix it up with about 25 B-25s in the pattern. Enough to choke a guy up for these were carrying some of the original WWII pilots including some of the Doolittle boys.

Thanks, Dave.

I sprang for the scenic ride in Pacific PRowler a few years ago when I lived in New England. I put some videos of the flight up on YouTube, and they've got some of them listed on the sidebar. :D

Dave,

Great video's! Thanks for posting!

Nice to see Tom Duffy's "Take Off Time" out of Millville, NJ (KMIV) and the "Panchitto" out of Georgetown, Delaware (KGED).

What a rush seeing all those planes in the sky at once.....got chills just watching the video.

I had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with the son of Richard Cole (Doolittle’s co-pilot) at a recent retirement ceremony of a mutual friend of ours at Eglin AFB. He said his dad is always getting free rides in B-25’s…imagine that!
