Paul is playing at the outdoor Piedmont Park tomorrow night here in Atlanta. At my son's urging I bought 4 tickets when they were first released for sale. Sue has made the probably wise decision not to go. She just is not recovered enough from her surgery. So it will be me, my son, his girl friend and probably another buddy of his. MacCarney's definitely more my generation, but my son really wanted to go.

I'm looking forward to this, but it will be a madhouse there.

I read in the paper today they are advising people to take Marta, there are going to be road closures around the park, Good Luck, should be a great show

Tony Condon saw him in Des Moines a couple years ago and said it was phenomenal. Wish I was going with you!

I saw Paul McCartney and Wings at the Spectrum in 1976. He is still a great performer.

Yes we have gotten old. Woodstock was not a madhouse, it was a happening. But we didn't think it was a madhouse. We do now....

sigh.

Yep, going to feel that age too. It's 12:40PM now and 90dF out. My son says the lines have already formed. Gates don't open until 5 and Paul starts at 9. Not sure when we're going to head down there.
BTW, my apologies to Sir Paul for misspelling McCarney in the thread title.

Local radio station (103.7 LITE FM) will have front-row tickets in their 7:30AM giveaways, this Wednesday. That'd be a score!

Hmmmmm.... With Michael Jackson dead, I wonder who Paul has to pay now to perform his own music...?

I am in awe. I knew he was good, but I didn't realize how good. He was probably about the oldest guy among the 30 to 50 thousand at Piedmont Park last night. He went 2 1/2 hours straight, without any break. Every song was was a vocal, and he was the lead singer of every song. Every song was great, and many are the classics that will be around as long as there is rock n roll. He played about 10 different guitars and the piano. Incredible voice; incredible talent; incredible performer. I don't think anyone has seen any hyperbole out of me in this forum, so this isn't BS. If you're anywhere near one of his concerts this tour, GO!

Yep, saw him a couple years ago in Des Moines. He played for a solid 2.5-3 hours. It was amazing.

presumably some of those guitars were basses. Hes a pretty good drummer too.

My boss saw him week before last in I believe it was Boston. He said
