When we graduated from High school at 17 and that July decided to get married, some folks said it wouldn't last. That was in 1952 July 3rd. Next July we will celebrate our 57 th. Last sat. night I got feeling good at a Christmas party which spilled over to the local pub. They had a couple doing Karaoke and I sang our song to my wife Essie. I hope you will listen to it and get the reason it is our song. Bob

Congrats! We are celebrating our 3rd today. I hope we're both around long enough to see 57 together!

Nice. You have me beat by a few years - but then I wasn't born until August of '52 so I guess there is no surprise there. Congratulations.

I assume that by now you have figured out that forgetting the anniversary is not a good idea :-)

And, Nat King Cole is one of my absolute favorite singers. Thanks for the link. I never though of looking on youtube for that sort of thing. (no brains, no headaches)

Yes, it is amazing how many songs and the singer that made it popular there are on You Tube. Just write them in search and bingo there they are. Bob

19 and 17 when we got engaged, 21 and 19 when we were married. 35 years and counting. Way to go to you two. 1952 was a great year, I was born then (a few months ahead of your wedding). Here's to many more for the both of you.
