What year is it? My dad has one very similar to that that I hope to inherit some day.

1930 "A" ford cabriolet, they bought it from the Ford garage that he worked in for 75 bucks (1947)

The red fire engine was a 1926 Fox.

The Iowa State Fair always has a good showing of antique engines. I could spend all day walking through that area checking out the single-poppers. So simple, yet able to get the job done.

I love the A - in my view, the first truly practical automobile. Even today, they are still viable automobiles.

Friend of mine used a Model A as his daily driver all through college - this was in the 70s - and the only real downside was that it took him a little longer to drive home on holidays. Asked him about whether not having AC was a problem, he said, "Hell, everyone I knew who had AC in their cars, it didn't work anyway."
