Bro do you even lift
I’ll have some excuse.
I'll be back if at all possible. I love Oshkosh. I even get fed at my gig!
And my Origami won Best in Show at the Fair!
For the best in show, I think about 3 dozen entires by a dozen folders. Mrs. Steingar once won in one of the knitting categories. I looked around and blurted out that I thought her's was the only entry. That didn't go particularly well.Out of how many origami contestants?
Just don't run out of munchies and BEER!The biggest change will be a more organized coffee center, with more mugs, carafes, and an additional coffee maker. We are coffee-central in the North 40, under the big Texas flag, and we kept running out of coffee.
I want to live-stream my forum next year or at least figure out some way to put it up online for those brethren and sistren that aren't going to be able to make it. That part of computing is completely foreign to me, and in addition, anything I do has to come from 2100 miles west of Oshkosh. Anybody got the time to teach me about what the options are and a bit of guidance on how to do the one I select?

100% you want to record and post, not live stream. Then you can have a much higher quality production and it will actually work, whereas live streaming from OSH rarely has sufficient bandwidth.

Oh, ok. With this sanserif typeface it looked like you were invoking the natural logarithm function (ln in lower case)."In" is an abbreviated way of saying "I'm in." for the event/activity under discussion.
Finally.Oh fer chrissakes, now I know why they call you weirdjim.
Ever since kindergarten. Weir also rhymes with beer, queer, dear, here, year, cheer, jeer, leer, steer, and lest we forget, good old engineer. I learned a thick skin at a very early age.Oh fer chrissakes, now I know why they call you weirdjim.

That is all you needed to say!Weir also rhymes with beer
One of my yard signs when I ran the last time read like an old Burma-Shave sign:That is all you needed to say!

I'm offended that you aren't offended. Or something like that.No offense intended.

Scroll to the top of the page, just above the first post and click "Watch Thread" instead of making a worthless post.
Just daayum...
Well, do you disagree?
Is it too early to start asking flight planning questions? And is asking people what they think of flying over Lake Michigan in a single engine aircraft akin to starting a low wing/high wing debate, or the merits of lean of peak operation?
I'm planning on flying my J3 Cub to OSH again next year (been there twice in it so far). Wondering if the NORDO approach would be worth considering or should I stick to the Fisk arrival using a handheld? Keep in mind my top level cruise speed is 75 mph.
The first time I flew in on the Fisk Approach and understandably got passed twice right at Fisk but traffic was unusually light for arrivals at the time. My handheld setup worked fine. The NORDO approach procedure is highly discouraged. Further, it's not just a "procedure" you can opt into like the WARBIRDS/TURBINE one. You must prearrange it (and they won't tell you what the actual procedure is in advance of that arrangement). If you can get a handheld to work in your plane, I'd strongly recommend coming in the published way. Yes, you're going to have fun not being able to do 90. GO as fast as practicable.
I'm gonna try and make it in this year! Had to divert to FLD last year due to traffic on Sunday. After reading EAA's responses to the survey, it looks like they are trying to improve that whole arrival experience. I, too, look forward to the NOTAM....and hopefully meeting some new friends in the N40!
