I did see the blimp today and was driving past when they were mooring it in the field next to the museum. Very slow, controlled event and I wish I could have just stopped the car and gawked.
Basically they put in a nose down pitch, then use enough forward thrust to just barely make way over the ground while using the rest of the thrust to lose altitude. When it’s low enough someone moors it and I guess reels it in?
