If it's true they didn't have liability insurance on that thing they deserve to be put out of business. Mooney guy shouldn't be left holding the bag for someone else's mistake no matter how underinsured he is. For that matter, even if he was overinsured you can bet his insurance company is going to sue everyone to get their money back. To be sure though, I'd just want to be square.
