The Cherokee Pilots Association (RIP) used to hold its annual fly in there. Beautiful area to fly.

Sunday brunch at Tan-Tar-A is fabulous. Land at Osage Beach and they'll send their van to pick you up.

Been there a few times, most recently over labor day weekend. Nice little airport. Weird tie-down setup they have. Steel cables are stretched across the ramp and you tie down to movable rings on the cable with ropes. I've got some doubts as to how well that will work if a storm blows through...
