Old Tyme Iceboats

I've always wanted to go for a ride on one of those. As a kid the speeds were unbelievable! I could not even imagine going 100 mph + with your butt 6" off the ice.
 
Definitely not 100mph..
World record is apparently 84mph by this:

My great grandfather used to sail those on Lake Minnetonka near Minneapolis. Over 100 years ago. I wish he was still around to talk about that (died about 50 years ago, so no go there).
 
On a good day my buddies could out run my cub on the Papacton reservoir, the wind that made them fast was not in my favor.
