I have more than 600 hours CPL/IR. I need insurance with a named-pilot add-on friend (high time CPL/CFI but only about 25 hours in PA28-236).

I have been with Global for a few years but Old Republic is about $1500 vs about $1700 and dropped the rate with my freshly minted CPL certificate. I don't like changing companies as some don't like to value my hull as highly as I want to (I look at what it would really cost me to replace). I figure it is generally easier to stay where I am at vs moving.

Any thoughts on these two companies?

Second thread on topic today.

It's your $200. Spend it as you like, but in the other thread you'll find that many people have had satisfactory experience and reasonable rates with Old Republic.

Are you approaching any milestones (age, etc.) that would put you at risk of being dropped that could be lessened by having been with a carrier for a while?
