old age and G force

Dunno, but for me acro left the building quite a while back. At first I thought I just needed to reacclimatize, but finally concluded I just needed to quit.

The older I get the less g forces I can stand why?

Ultimately this is from inadequate oxygenation to the brain. This can come form a bad pump (heart), bad plumbing (vessels) or inadequate oxygen carrying capacity of the blood (low blood count, impaired carrying capacity of the red blood cell such as with methemglobinemia).

Barring known heart disease, the pump is not likely the issue. Cardiac output will decrease with age but not significantly. Likewise, barring known other history such as anemia we are left with the plumbing. With age, the vessels lose elasticity. They become less responsive to the bodys own adrenalin. Atherosclerosis, smoking, high blood pressure, etc will increase this effect.

How many Gs are you pulling? 3.5 or so that it takes for the primary maneuvers are not an issue for me (72 in 2 weeks). Hadn't noticed any issues except rusty piloting skills.
