That prop modification is wild.

I have seen something for pimping your ride that does a similar item on wheels. But this version included a computer and associated sensors that kept track where in the rotation the LED was and turned it on/off/changed color and so forth. Result was a stroboscopic effect that allowed the eyes/brain to fill in the gaps and make you think you were looking at a solid image or even words.
 
This is pretty wild.
I have a ton of respect for those pilots doing airobatics, at night, with so much fire around them.
