Now I shall await to be reprimanded on not being legal.

You know Ed, if you would get outta da' UP every once in a while, you would learn about this new-fangled technology we have down here in the 'lower' 48. It's known as a PRINTER.

No printer in the hotel room. And no one around has any damn charts for sale either.

Whatever it takes. Of course it will suck if you get an unexpected re-route because of weather or other unrelated issues or you have to divert to an unexpected airport....and of course you know that.

I assume this is a plan to get you into an airport where you can get charts for the rest of the voyage if IMC?

Unless you were carrying for hire, the only reprimand I'd offer is that you posted too big a picture.

For a second I thought you were going to Sporty's (you can certainly buy charts there!) but that's I69, not I39.

Legal IMHO, but you're sure the hotel doesn't have a printer they let guests use? If the weather were forecast to be decent at the destination, I'd have no problems with that. If questionable, I'd want at least likely alternates (not necessarily filed) copied down too.

I'm surprised Samsill doesn't have a disclaimer stating "not valid for navigation"

Ive got Lexington copied down as well as an alternate. ILS 4 and ILS 22 as a backup. Looks like I can do this VFR though. Might have tio weave a bit in TN with the hard bumpy things out there. But I am going west of ATL and then sliding back to the east to keep the terrain relatively flat.

Probably best to stay VFR for this flight anyway, given the recency of aircraft purchase.

It would be very humorous to see the ramp inspector's reaction. Legal or not, it certainly would not be exactly common. :)
