The Apple line at the Apple store was three blocks long at 6 PM. The Apple guy was shouting "ATT 3G is sold out! Verizon White is sold out!"

I went to Best Buy. They had sold out in two minutes.

No iPad for me today.

My wife was going to go look. Haven't heard anything yet :))
 
I looked around some with no luck and then just went online and ordered one. 2-3 week delivery is fine and I get the one I want.

Yeah, the wife had no luck either. We both have day jobs and people were waiting since the store opened.
 
My MacBook Air came today. Here I am typing on it. :)
 
Went to the local Apple store at 6pm. There was a line. It was far shorter than the line that Jesse has on FB at Best Buy. But it was a line nonetheless and I opted to eat dinner first. I would estimate the line had 50 people in it as it only stretched two store fronts. I returned at 7:30 and was told that they had sold out.

Going to Best Buy or ATT was not an option for me as I was cashing in an Apple gift card to buy this. I just finished ordering it online. 2-3 weeks more wait for me.
 
I was there at 5PM and got in line. By 5:30, they had sold out of all iPad2s, and I had only made it 1/4 of the way through the line. Ordering online wasn't going to work, since I wanted to take it on a flight next Friday, and they were quoting 2 - 3 weeks delivery this morning.

Was that the Woodfield or Deer Park Store?

BTW my order says delivery on 6 April. That item was ordered shortly before 8pm this evening.

Deer Park. I was trying to avoid the 10% tax at Woodfield.

Funny. I drove by Deer Park around 12 Noon. I hadn't realized that Ela Road was the back side.

You're traitor to Crook County, Grant.

No matter. The gov signed the law that adds 6.25% tax on every online transaction, even if the customer is in China, AKA the Dotcom Exodus from Illinois Act. Even Groupon is saying they'll leave with their 500 jobs.
 
I went and took one of their free classes this morning at the Apple Store. I wasn't doing anything and I though it might be interesting. I learned a lot. :)
