The SKEETERS are at biblical plague intensity! I mean I went out in the DAYTIME and could barely get back alive! They was buzzin' in my ears and hitting and bouncing offa me. I only wanted to marvel at our new grass babies at the property line.
I went in the house and broke out the fogger I bought and never even took out of the shipping box. I looked outside and saw smoke! The neighbor was fogging everything.
I read the instruction book as I worked along, in my read/try way only to read a) the propane cylinder I bought a pair of is the size/shape they don't recommend. There's sticker saying that on the box - if I only had opened the shipment before I figured "It's gotta fit" at Lowes. b) I wasn't supposed to have a flame but that was they warn about with the the size of cylinder and I was supposed to shut down and wait 10 minutes if that that happened, and c) I was suppsoed to stay 5 feet away from the plants and shrubs. Owell. Hope they don't all get sick.
The wind was strong enough to blow it all away anyway. We had some gusty, spotty storms but THAT isn't scaring the bugs off.
I think I discovered that the nambypamby "Skintastic" DEET I bought pre-Gastons ain't strong enough. I tired the bottles of 98% DEET spray I picked up and that kept them away - at least from arms. I think they still were going for my feet and legs through the clothes.
