Does the Nexus 7 have both Wi-Fi and built-in GPS? Thinking about buying the 32 gig model.
 
Yes. I've been using mine for nearly a year. I use the external GPS in the GDL-39, but the internal one also works quite well in both high and low wing aircraft. The WiFi is sufficiently good to work on the ramp at most of the airports I use.
 
The new version had a serious flaw with its gps at release that was fully fixed after an update. I've loved my Nexus and have completely quit using my 10" tablets

Yes, and it works very well.

We've flown with the Nexus 7/Garmin Pilot/GDL-39 ADS-B package since the Nexus came out in the summer of 2012, and it has really matured into a wonderful system.

It's getting hard to remember a time when we didn't have every FBO's gas prices in the cockpit... lol!

You might check a site like slickdeals.net first if you're looking for the best deal - I just picked up a 2013 Nexus 7 32GB for $219 at Staples last Wednesday. They had a $50 off tablets printable coupon going.

Also make sure to get the latest version of the Nexus 7, not the 2012 version. The new one will have Android 4.3 pre-installed (and will update itself to 4.4) and the full HD ("retina") display.

Today. Cyber Monday, Staples has the Nexus 7 2013 16gb for $199 and the 32gb for $239.

Also, google store has the higher price, $269 for the 32gb, but gives you a $25 gift card. Neither charged shipping but, somehow goodle calculated less sales tax on its higher price than did Staples on its lower price. Both totaled within $1-$2 when the gift card is added in.

Guess I can wait a little longer.

Just FYI all... There's an eBay "Daily Deal" for the Nexus 7 (2nd gen/2013 model) 32GB for $229.99 and free shipping from an authorized dealer (Adorama). No tax included outside of NY/NJ.
 
Office Depot has the 16GB N7 on sale right now for $179.99 and the 32GB for $229.99

Sale expires Dec 21st (tomorrow) 2013. I just picked up the 32GB model and installed the free "Avare" software on it, and am busy downloading every VFR, TAC and WAC chart there is. Also going to grab all the downloadable A/FDs too.
