You do know that if everyone actually followed these restrictions from the first day, like was done in New Zealand last year, there would not have been a global outbreak. New Zealand actually did beat the odds and manage to keep out any community spread of COVID for many months, allowing their entire population to resume normal activities without masks, social distancing, or chance of infection. When necessary, a few individuals were forced to quarantine for the benefit of the entire remaining population and everyone got to enjoy the summer risk-free. But it relied on the entire population a country/world to listen to rules and regulation, be led by competent leaders, and follow cautious science. One break in the chain (or all of them) and it let the cat out of the bag.
