New Garmin VIRB

Looks like a winner.

Now if I could only find an audience for the crap I'd record. :-/

Does that cam blur the prop by default?

I read press release and it didn't mention that. I guess that would be an accessory. :dunno:

Wow, the trailer looks nice. I almost ordered one of the first gen, because of its features, but ultimately bought another GoPro, due to its superior video quality.

The footage of the new Virb certainly looks like a huge improvement...

It's a function of shutter speed. The camera can either have an option to select a slower shutter speed (possibly by selecting a lower numeric ISO setting, that would be the preferable way if possible), or you can force it with a simple neutral density filter.

Good point. I've watched a fair amount of random crap myself.

I always search YouTube if I'm visiting a new to me airport. Hours later I find that I have watched bums fight, a guy yelling at his cats, concert venues being set up and tons of other random crap. It's a sucker hole for spare time.

I wonder why they switched from the "bullet can" form factor?

Huh, I hadn't looked to notice, I never figured out the box form factor, that's why I got the Ion.

The box is quite un-aerodynamic. :(

I thought that was a good design. I liked the VIRB but had to send it back 3 times to Garmin due to it freezing up while recording. i finally gave up and replaced it with a new gopro.
