So the one I have now is pretty ratty, and I think it was issued to the plane when it was new in 1980. Would be getting a new one open and can of worms, let alone provide me with multiple hoops to jump through?

Or is this, and dare I say it, an easy process with the FAA? I see there is a process for lost or stolen, but nothing about getting a replacement.

Thanks

I did this. Not a huge deal, except the FAA website is not user friendly.

Local FSDO walked me through it on the phone.

A few days later they emailed it to me. So now I can just print replacements.

You don't have the url by any chance for the application, do you?

An e-copy sounds like the best route

I’ve had to get new airworthiness certificates when I changed N numbers, the ATL FSDO was great, one guy even met me at the airport on his way home to drop it off!
