A while back I purchased a Treo 755 for my partner from a company on Ebay it came with a free bluetooth. I kept the blue tooth as he didn't want it.

A month ago or so I lost it. It was a jabra that had verizon written on it. i don't think it was too fancy. So I wrote the company that sold it to me and asked if they recommended the same Blue tooth or another that I listed. They recommended one I didn't list a Motorola Motopur H16.

I looked at it on line it said had great noise cancellation in wind etc. The company had good customer service so I purchaed it on Ebay. Long short the voice quality on the ear set was exceptional BUT no one on the other end could hear a dang thing I was saying. I called the company and they promptly sent me a new one ( They are very good regarding customer service and prompt shipping) Sad to say the same thing happens with the second Motopur H15 :frown3:

I HATE holding a cell phone to my ear and in the car I need a hear piece.

Does anyone have any recommendation for a good REASONABLY priced bluetooth?

Terminology lesson. Bluetooth is a name of an air interface that what can be used for PANs, (Personal Area Networks). They are often in headsets, the wireless types. This is what it appears you are requesting information about. So really what you want to say is that you are looking for a bluetooth headset. Bluetooth can also be used to have devices such as cellphones toalk to computers to provide a wireless link to a 3G modem in the phone, or to between computers and printers, etc.

Ok that being all said. I am still looking for a bluetooth headset that I truly like. I have spent up $100 on some small in the ear models. I have stereo ones that also link to my iPod and I just have not found I like. My usual complaint is that the volume is not loud enough or that to headset increase battery life the bluetooth profile is the low power one and that it is hard to link to a phone in my pocket because of tissue absorption issues.

That all being said I have heard good things about two headsets form people who are involved with Bluetooth and try to get me to be a believer in the technology.

They are the Motorola H680 and the Plantronics Voyager Pro

I've got one you can have. Can ya wait till Wings? LOL

I have a plantronics (voyager 520 or pretty much the same looking one) one that I bought for Becky and she only used it once and didn't like it. I don't have the packaging, but I just put it on charge and can drop off at your place tomorrow morning if you want. I have the same one and get clear reception on it all the time, and everyone seems to hear me fine. I can be up to 25 feet from my iPhone and still be connected , battery life and volume are great too.

Perhaps you should take the portable packet of Kleenex out of your pocket.

I've had a BlueAnt Z9 headset for a while now and I love it. I've had people tell me that they hear me much more clearly with this headset than they did with either the Plantronics or any of the Motorola headsets I've had. I did have to order a smaller earbud for it though. I've been thinking of upgrading to the Q1 Voice model.

Costco has a good price on a Motorola earpiece. It sounded good, had good noise cancellation for the short time I had it. I have no idea how long the battery lasted, as I left it poked thru a button hole on my shirt on the second day I owned it.

PIREP: after machine wash and dry, the battery would not hold a charge longer than 2 minutes, the speaker volume was approximately 50% and the microphone was completely inoperative. Not recommended method of cleaning earpiece.
