Hey fellow Ohio pilots. I am going to buy Hoerner wingtips and add Whelen strobes. I'm going to need to have the tips painted to match. While I'm at it, I'm thinking about having my nose pant and spinner redone.

Anyone have a suggestion of someone I can call and, most importantly, trust?

There was someone over at Urbana, but I also heard he tends to disappear at times. I just called the number and its been disconnected.

So, anyone you recommend? I'm in Columbus.

Thank you,

Greg

Any automotive paint shop can do it if you take them the parts and paint. Ask around for recommendations.

Thanks Dave, yes that will be my next stop. Trying to keep it in the family is all.

Appreciate it.

Dial Eastern States (DESAPI) has a good rep:

Dial Eastern States Aircraft Painting, Inc.
Harrison County Airport (8G6)
430000 Airport Rd.
Cadiz, OH 43907

Yes, they do. Thanks I had forgotten them way out east. I have a lead on a guy who salvages & repairs Bo's. If he doesn't pan out, then I'll definitely call Dial Eastern.

Thanks.

I had problems getting aircraft paint shops to do piece work for me in my shop. I was never satisfied with my paint jobs. I finally found an independent local painter that wanted my work. His work is incredible, color match and quality is perfect. He repainted the cowlings and the lower cabin door on my Malibu then later my 172 cowlings and wheel pants. This guy can only be described as a real pain to deal with at times but he always comes through. Find a local auto painter.
